Civic collaboration

Growing stronger when people work together

We welcome collaboration with registered nonprofit organisations, community initiatives, educational institutions, artists, and makers whose objectives align with our public-benefit purpose in Barberton.

Our approach

Shared purpose and mutual accountability

School & Youth Mentorship

Creating accessible arts education and practical skills-development opportunities for young people across Mpumalanga.

Resource & Knowledge Sharing

Pooling practical tools, sustainable upcycling methods, and local expertise to achieve outcomes beyond individual reach.

Institutional NPO Alliances

Developing transparent project frameworks that respect each participating organisation's governance, responsibilities, and community roots.

Developing initiative

Proposed youth retreats with Farmstay

Farmstay is a community-focused nonprofit supporting youth and providing guest accommodation in a garden setting. BArt and Farmstay are exploring mutually beneficial activities including creative workshops, artist retreats, local makers' displays, and sustainable gift products.

This potential collaboration remains subject to both organisations' governing documents and formal approvals, offering a model for how shared spaces can foster regional creative practice.
